Investing.com - Canadian new house prices rose less than expected in January, fuelling concerns over the health of the nation's real estate sector, official data showed on Thursday.
In a report, Statistics Canada said its new housing price index rose by a seasonally adjusted 0.1% last month, below forecasts for a 0.2% gain and following a 0.1% increase in December.
USD/CAD was trading at 1.2545 from around 1.2569 ahead of the release of the data.
