Investing.com - Canadian new house prices rose less-than-expected in December, official data showed on Thursday.
In a report, Statistics Canada said its new housing price index inched up by 0.1% in December, compared to forecasts for a 0.2% gain and following a flat reading in November.
Following the release of the data, the Canadian dollar was lower against its U.S. counterpart, with USD/CAD rising 0.13% to hit 1.1016.
