In a report, Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation said that Canadian housing starts rose to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 37.2K, from 22.2K in the preceding month whose figure was revised down from 165.1K.
Analysts had expected Canadian housing starts to rise to 180.0K last month.
