Investing.com - Canadian manufacturing sales fell more-than-expected in November, fuelling concerns over the country’s economic outlook, official data showed on Tuesday.
In a report, Statistics Canada said that manufacturing sales decreased by a seasonally adjusted 1.4% in November, worse than expectations for a 0.5% decline.
Manufacturing sales declined to $51.5 billion in November, reflecting lower sales of motor vehicles, chemicals, primary metals and food. This was the third decrease in four months.
Manufacturing sales for October were revised down to a drop of 1.1% from a previously reported fall of 0.6%.
USD/CAD was trading at 1.2020 following the release of the data, from 1.2006 ahead of the report.
