Investing.com - Business activity in the Chicago area rebounded in March according to data on Thursday.
The Chicago PMI jumped 6 points to 53.6 this month after falling into contraction territory in February.
A sharp rise in production boosted the index.
New orders and order backlogs also posted strong gains.
Analysts had expected the index to rise just 2.4 points to 50.0.
