Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Media, Financials and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite declined 0.47%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr), which rose 16.47% or 0.014 points to trade at 0.099 at the close. Meanwhile, Athens Medical (AT:AMCr) added 5.00% or 0.050 points to end at 1.080 and Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr) was up 3.98% or 0.1800 points to 4.7000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Public Power (AT:DEHr), which fell 3.64% or 0.15 points to trade at 3.97 at the close. Select Textile (AT:EPIr) declined 3.55% or 0.007 points to end at 0.190 and Hell.Exchanges (AT:EXCr) was down 3.28% or 0.18 points to 5.30.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 64 to 38 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in Athens Medical (AT:AMCr) rose to 5-year highs; up 5.00% or 0.050 to 1.080.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.40% or 5.08 to $1253.62 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.45% or 0.22 to hit $49.29 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.44% or 0.23 to trade at $52.44 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.30% to 1.1126, while EUR/GBP fell 0.59% to 0.8554.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 97.51.
