Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Food & Beverages and Agriculture sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.39%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Bco Continenta (LM:CON), which rose 2.47% or 0.100 points to trade at 4.150 at the close. Meanwhile, Buenaventura (LM:BVN) added 2.06% or 0.200 points to end at 9.900 and Credicorp (LM:BAP) was up 1.84% or 2.600 points to 143.700 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Milpo (LM:MIL), which fell 3.51% or 0.080 points to trade at 2.200 at the close. Panoro (LM:PML) declined 3.45% or 0.005 points to end at 0.140 and Minsur (LM:MINi) was down 2.52% or 0.030 points to 1.160.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 11 to 8 and 16 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 2.26% or 1.10 to $49.72 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $49.88 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.38% or 4.70 to trade at $1224.50 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.3388, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.7276.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.20% at 95.40.
