In a report, Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation said that Canadian housing starts rose to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 230.7K, from 214.3K in the preceding month whose figure was revised down from 216.9K.
Analysts had expected Canadian housing starts to fall to 200.0K last month.
