ZClassic (ZCL), the asset that forked into Bitcoin Private (BTCP) and crashed, losing more than 90% of its value, may get a second chance and an overhaul. Since the dumping, and a false alert of yet another fork, ZCL unraveled to the current levels of $7.80, being thinly traded on Bittrex, where more than 90% of volumes are concentrated.

Now, two teams have opened their proposals to take up ZClassic with support and a plan for future development.

The two teams, ZClassic CE and ZClassic Blue, have been interested in the coin in the past, but now they have come up with formal proposals and ideas.
According to the proposal of ZClassic Blue, the network will see an overhaul, with masternode verification available. A web wallet and an Android wallet will be available by the end of the year, if the team wins the community support.
The suggestion of ZClassic CE includes the creation of a second layer of complexity, a project named AZCL. ZClassic itself will remain the same asset, without hard forks, but a partnership with the Komodo platform may see a decentralized switching between ZCL and AZCL.
Both proposals promise significant evolution for the asset, which until recently was mostly used as a potentially anonymous coin, and most of its exchange growth came from promises of upcoming hard forks and airdrops. On Reddit, slight preference is given to the ZClassic Blue team, which has a simpler and more intuitive proposal.
For now, the process is only aiming to gather community inputs, and there is no set date to select the team. ZClassic has been left to drift without developer support since March 7, and the network produces blocks, but is not ready to take up significant trafffic in its current state.
ZClassic: Another Aidrop Through Hard Fork?
For ZCL, the new team may not be enough. The asset may see another airdrop promised, this time for September 10. The event, also called a partnership, resembles previous hard forks, where the ZCL balance was taken into account, in order to award the new digital asset.

But in fact, beyond being used as anonymous coins for gambling, ZCL and Anonymous Bitcoin would lead to yet another Bitcoin fork.
For now, it is unknown how the new ZCL team would work with the already settled plan to use the coin for another hard fork. This time, however, the news have not led to a rush to accumulate ZCL.
