There's nothing like a cryptocurrency lovefest to spark a rally in bitcoin.
That's the thinking of Wall Street crypto bull Tom Lee of Fundstrat Global Research.
In a note to clients, Lee noted that bitcoin always rallies around the time of the Consensus Conference, the major blockchain technology gathering in New York City in the spring.
Lee says bitcoin has gained between 10% and 70% during and after the conference the past three years and expects more of the same this year with the May 14-16 event.
Bitcoin has struggled to break through the $10,000 level, after rebounding from its 2018 low of about $6,600 in April.
