RSK has launched rLogin, a digital identity solution that enables users to control their own data and digital identities.
rLogin is part of the RIF suite and can be used on Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH). Although ETH has several similar integrations already, rLogin is the first such solution that works on BTH.
The RSK Network is a smart contract blockchain. RSK’s Infrastructure Framework (RIF) is a suite of protocols that enable faster, easier, and scalable developments within the blockchain.
RIF Identity Product Owner Milton Berman noted at the rLogin launch:
“rLogin is a huge step towards achieving Self-Sovereign Identity while simplifying the way to interact with the blockchain. We are very excited to see these integrations giving users the flexibility to control their own data and move their crypto assets and reputation across platforms.”
Apart from data control, rLogin also allows users to access their wallets and transfer data on any integrated app. Also, the integration enables benefits like a customized user experience with a front-end that interacts with any crypto wallet.
rLogin also enables apps to verify users by their wallet addresses like a decentralized identifier (DID). In addition, the integration gives users data cloud storage in its Data Vault. While enabling users to move data across different Web 2.0 and Web3 apps.
Of note, rLogin is free and open-source. Thus, any developer can integrate rLogin using the toolset available on GitHub. In fact, several wallets like Metamask, Nifty, Liquality, and WalletConnect have already integrated rLogin.
