Singapore-based mobile game and innovations company gumi Asia Pte. Ltd. announced it would spearhead a new project called Financie, a new Trading Card Game powered by blockchain technology.
Financie is currently in the research and development stage as a trading card game that allows fans to support individual eSports players. In addition to supporting their favorite eSports player by collecting their cards, fans will be able to experience various other perks just for them.
gumi Asia public relations executive Abdul Malek told Cryptovest in an e-mailed statement: “We are recruiting eSports players and test users during this closed beta period.”
He added that eSports players would appear on trading cards in this game. Fans will be able to purchase and use their trading cards to support them in their activities. The value of the various cards will be determined by the fan themselves in Financie.
Fans will be able to collect the cards and trade them with other fans. Using the cards will grant fans special perks, such as receiving one-to-one advice on gameplay. It will also continue to provide fans with more avenues to use their cards.
Cards are managed on the Ethereum (ERC20) Blockchain. As such, proof of ownership will always be publicly available, eliminating the potential for fraudulent activities. Fans will also be able to participate in Financie with confidence as personal information will not be disclosed during transactions such as purchasing cards.
Malek went on to say:
“We are planning to run Financie’s beta test in collaboration with teams and players from various parts of the world. We will be continuing to recruit eSports players who will be featured on the trading cards on an ongoing basis. Test Users will be able to purchase eSports Players’ trading cards and receive special rewards in the Closed Beta Test.”
He added that Financie is a service which makes use of blockchain technology, and is currently conducting research and development towards commercial release.
“To this end, we are conducting the Closed Beta Test as a demonstration of the technology, as well as to discover potential areas of improvement. As such, we would appreciate your cooperation. The project team looks forward to your participation in the Closed Beta Test,” Malek added.
