 Number of Crypto Mining Companies Spikes in Russia

The crypto sector in Russia is expanding in 2018 with the number of companies steadily increasing as compared with last year – up by 15% to 75,000, according to Russian Association of Cryptocurrencies and Blockchain (RACIB), the Russian business news agency PRIME reported.

These numbers seem rather good news for all crypto enthusiasts, considering that many national governments worldwide tend to crack down on crypto markets.

“According to the results for the first half of this year, the number of [crypto] mining enterprises in Russia has increased by 15%, to 75,000. The mining industry already employs 350,000 people. As of July 2018, Russia accounts for about 6% of the world’s mining market, which is 1% more than a year ago,” PRIME quoted RACIB&...
