In a recent twitter post, Lusardi mentions that development is already underway to add the original Ethereum forked blockchain to Metamask’s bridge services. However, at this stage no timeline has been given as to when we can expect it to roll out officially.
Metamask is a widely used Ethereum tool that allows users to interact with the network and related dApps, as well as providing an in-browser ERC-20 token compatible wallet for storing Ethereum blockchain assets.
This news will be a delight to the ETC community, building on top of the 20% price surge that came after the recent Coinbase listing announcement and the recent peak to $17.81 on Saturday, following the release of Radex Classic, the world’s first decentralized exchange based on Ethereum Classic network. As the coin regains prominence in the market, many are hoping this new exposure will reignite community support and return ETC back into the top 10.
Today, Ethereum Classic is the second best gainer in the top 20 cryptos with an 11.88% recovery, behind Ontology with a 15.97% gain at the time of writing. It will need to raise significant support if it’s to overtake its next competitor in the market cap table, Binance Coin.
