BlockShow goes to Berlin after a two-month, fun-filled trip across major European cities that hosted a series of eight meetups with blockchain enthusiasts and professionals. BlockShow Europe will culminate with the conference in the capital of Germany on May 28-29, where over 80 industry leaders and acknowledged experts will share their vision on multiple issues related to best practices, trends, and developments in the blockchain/crypto ecosystem.

The meetups ahead of BlockShow Europe 2018 proved to be an exciting experience both for the organizers and participants. The attendees had a chance to get insights from blockchain professionals and crypto enthusiasts, tap vast networking opportunities, and vote for promising blockchain startups. The winners of the public vote were invited to the final stage of the competition - BlockShow Oscar, which comes with a prize of 50,000 euro.

Over 3,000 blockchain experts and influencers are expected to attend BlockShow Europe 2018 in Berlin. More than 150 exhibitors will showcase their projects during the conference, and over 120 companies and media partners will provide global support to the event.

“Among conferences, BlockShow is like the Cirque du Soleil of the circus - we stand out from the competitors. We are not your typical conference: we remove standard, official stuff from it and focus on a casual atmosphere where community feels like home and where people can network and sign contracts. We disregard the word “official,” and like to replace it with “informal.” We are a show for blockchain business representatives to spend their time efficiently,” said Addy Creeze, CEO at BlockShow.

BlockShow is thrilled to have as a keynote speaker Jimmy Wales, founder of Wikipedia and a “Web Celeb” as per Forbes Magazine. He is one of Time’s “100 Most Influential People”, a famous crypto enthusiast and technology visionary. His journey through the cryptoverse started back in 2014, when he tweeted he was “playing with BTC” and attached his wallet address.

Apart from Wikipedia, Jimmy Wales has founded WikiTribune, a revolutionary ad-free news platform for evidence-based journalism, and Wikia, a privately owned free web hosting service. He even proposed to pay the journalists in Bitcoins.

Wikipedia and the rest of The Wikimedia Foundation projects have accepted donations in Bitcoins since 2014.

The conference will feature over 80 globally recognized experts, including:

  • Bobby Lee - Co-founder of BTCC, Board Member at Bitcoin Foundation
  • Benny Giang - Co-founder of CryptoKitties, Product Manager at Axiom Zen
  • Plamen Russev - Founder and Executive Chairman, Webit.Foundation & Global Webit Congress
  • Mike Butcher - Writer, broadcaster & blogger, Editor-At-Large at TechCrunch, Awarded an MBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours list 2016
  • Llew Claasen - Bitcoin Evangelist, Venture Capitalist, Executive Director at Bitcoin Foundation since 2016

Selected panel discussions and sessions:

  • Panel Discussion “Governmental Blockchain Initiatives within the EU (and Beyond)”
  • Panel Discussion “How Blockchain Changed the Concept of Privacy & Where It Leads Us”
  • Solution Session “Blockchain and Cybersecurity”
  • Solution Session “Will Blockchain Drive the Evolution of the Game Industry?”

All BlockShow attendees will have access to an app developed exclusively for the event to get exceptional networking experience, communicate, and connect before and during the conference. Users will be able to organize business meetings with a couple of taps, search attendees based on their expertise and occupation (investor, startup, crypto fund, etc.), and analyze different projects beforehand. Participants who use the app sign three contracts or partnerships on average during a two-day conference, according to statistics from past BlockShow events.
