We now know who the top 20 are, thanks to Forbes Magazine's first ever crypto rich list.
It takes a mere $350 million to even make the list, which includes trailblazing entrepreneurs, investors and techies.
The clear No. 1 is Chris Larsen, co-founder and former CEO of Ripple, the third largest cryptocurrency based on market capitalization. He owns 5.2 billion of Ripple's XRP coins. His wealth is estimated at $7.5 billion to $8.0 billion.
Joseph Lubin is number two The co-founder of Ethereum, the second largest crypto by market cap, is worth $1.0 billion to $5.0 billion.
Next is Changpeng Zhao, known as CZ., at $1.1 billion to $2.0 billion. CZ started Binance, the largest cryptocurrency exchange.
Number four are the Winklevoss brothers, Tyler and Cameron, who are worth $900 million to $1.0 billion, thanks to their early investment in Bitcoin.
Tied for fourth place is investor Matthew Mellon, who bought Ripple's XRP token early on.
