KardiaChain, the first decentralized, interoperable, and self-optimized blockchain infrastructure platform, has launched the second season of its Pioneer Program. The company unveiled this news through a blog post on March 8, noting that season 2 will feature more rewards and benefits for dApp creators that develop projects on its infrastructure.
According to the blog post, the season started on March 17 and will last through May 25. The winning project will get 80,000 worth of KardiaChain’s native token, $KAI. The Kardia Lab development team will offer technical aid and advice to help projects complete their innovation.
Apart from Kardia Lab, Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) Web Services Vietnam (AWS) will support Pioneer Program season 2 by offering developers the best technical environment to bring blockchain ideas to life. To achieve this, AWS seeks to provide developers with free AWS credits during the building phase of the hackathon and an AWS+ technical environment.
The company also plans to offer the top-20 teams a training workshop and AWS T-shirts. For the winners, the firm plans to offer an extra three months of AWS environment during the pilot phase and an Architecture Review Session by its Tech Department.
Season 2 will be open to both existing and new projects, and there will be two sets of prizes. New projects with high potential for future applications stand a chance to get direct sponsorship from Kardia Venture, the company’s investment arm. Additionally, they might get their KRC20 tokens listed on KAIDEX or NFTs listed on the Agoran marketplace.
These opportunities will allow the projects to join the KardiaChain ecosystem and gain more community exposure for rapid growth.
Participation guidelines
Teams wishing to participate in the hackathon will have to present projects that are either web apps/extensions or mobile dApps built using the Solidity language. KardiaChain will choose winning projects in two categories. These are New Projects and Existing Projects
The company will consider projects like decentralized finance (DeFi), dApps, NFT Platforms, GameFi and Metaverse, Tools and Analytics, Critical Infrastructure Projects, Social Goods and Community, and Engagement projects, among other web3 applications.
KardiaChain started accepting applications on March 17 and will continue to do so until April 8. All submissions must include a GitHub link that contains the project’s codebase (solidity smart contract). They must also feature a three to five-minute video representation of a tutorial of how the project works or one that details the project’s real-world benefits.
All submissions must be of original work. While teams had the opening to come up with ideas before the hackathon, they must build the prototypes during the competition. On top of this, KardiaChain will not accept any projects bases on adult themes, politics, or gambling.
The building phase will commence on April 20 and run until May 25. During this period, the shortlisted projects will work on perfecting their projects and building their communities. Voting will commence on May 15, and Kardia judges will announce the winners on May 25.
In the New Project category, the prize pool will be worth $36,000 in $KAI. The winner will get $20,000, while the first runner-up will get $10,000, third place will get $5,000, and fourth and fifth place receive $1,000. The Existing Project Category will see the same distribution.
Judging will be marked based on Community Votes and a panel of judges selected by KardiaChain. The Project score breakdown is 70% community voting plus 30% Kardia Judgement.
