One of the popular cryptocurrency wallet providers Jaxx has included DigiByte (DGB) to its ever growing list of coins featured in the recently-launched JaxxLiberty platform. This comes as an attempt to attract attention to the new project.

JaxxLibery aims to be more than a simple wallet service. If all goes according to plan, it will be a complete gateway to the world of cryptocurrencies. Its three key features will be the new community token JXX, a gamified experience, targeting the mainstream audience, and an educational section. That being said, the project is in Beta since the beginning of June, with no official release date yet.

The DigiByte (DGB) announcement came via Twitter, where the Jaxx team seemed very optimistic.

Even if some find this to be a major event for DigiByte, the market reaction was rather nonexistent. We have to note, the coin did recently meet the significant resistance around the $0.50, which has been holding it back since mid-February 2018.

The release obviously didn’t generate enough hype for the majority of market participants, but this can easily be explained with the status of JaxxLiberty. While the entire interface sounds very promising, most users are probably waiting for the full release.

The strongest side of the main Jaxx wallet is obviously the fact that it allows users to manage their own private keys and even access all the different altcoins with a single 12-word “masterseed”. At the time of writing, the service supports Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), Ethereum Classic (ETC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), DASH, Zcash (ZEC), EOS, Golem (GNT), Augur (REP) and many more. On top of that, the Shapeshift integration, allows users to quickly convert one digital asset into another, without going through an exchange. While Jaxx has had its fair share of criticism in the past, its new version sounds promising and the addition of DigiByte looks positive for both sides.
