Around half of the customers of the Bitpoint exchange were affected in some form, in one of the recent hacks that led to nearly $30M of losses in various digital assets. Bitpoint Japan itself admitted that around 50% of all the 110,000 accounts were affected, sharing the information with local publication Mainichi.
The exchange’s president, Genki Oda, apologized for the loss, and promised to reimburse users in various digital assets.
