  • Illuvium is home to Illuvium: Arena, a pioneer auto battler play-to-earn P2E game in the same vein as League of Legends: Teamfight Tactics and Dota Auto Chess.
  • Coinbase (NASDAQ:COIN), one of the leading cryptocurrency exchanges, has announced the listing of Illuvium Network’s main utility and governance token ILV
  • Subsequently, Illuvium released updates to their games and shared progress on the development of upcoming games.

Iluvium has been lauded as one of the most anticipated play-to-earn games in the blockchain gaming space. The game studio celebrated the announcement as an important milestone: a listing on Coinbase is a big step for Illuvium and its community. Illuvium also shared major development progress, including upgrades to Illuvium: Arena, Illuvium: Overworld, Illuvium: Zero, and more.

Illuvium (ILV) Listed on Coinbase

As of October 14, ILV has met Coinbase’s underlying conditions, and Coinbase users can now trade, convert, send, receive, and store the ILV token.

Coinbase shared that it will add support for Illuvium’s main utility token, ILV, on the Ethereum network. Furthermore, the crypto exchange added that the exchange would launch trading of the ILV token once sufficient supply has been established.

Coinbase has revealed that it will launch trading of the ILV-USD trading pair in phases. However, the exchange has warned that support for the ILV token may not be available for some supported jurisdictions.

The token listing is a key achievement for Illuvium, as it adds relevancy and credibility to the platform by having been through Coinbase’s rigorous screening and listing procedures.

Delivering Development Progress through Upgrades, Updates, and Improvements

Illuvium is home to one of the largest blockchain gaming communities. Earlier this year, Illuvium announced the addition of two new games: Illuvium: Zero and Illuvium: Overworld, after finding success with its AAA auto battler game, Illuvium: Arena.

After much anticipation, Illuvium shared progress on the development of their upcoming games as well as upgrades and updates to their existing products.

Here is a quick summary of what’s cooking:

  • Illuvium added major visual effects and UI changes to Illuvium: Arena in order to support lower-end machines.
  • Illuvium proposed improved client-server communications for Illuvium: Arena.
  • Features of Illuvium: Overworld, such as Sanctum Mesa, Crimson Waste, general UI, and player leaderboard, are reaching their final states for the upcoming Beta release.
  • Illuvium: Zero is reaching completion with finalized region artwork and necessary gameplay improvements. The game has since been going through internal testing before public release.
  • IlluviDEX has received bug fixes and improvements such as improved analytics and fraud detection, offer/bid on listed items, and transfer to L1 functionality, along with minor hotfixes and enhancements.
  • Illuvitars are nearing their final state, with progress reaching completion on the bonding flow, minting flow, launch party, and IlluviDEX.

On the Flipside

  • Coinbase currently only supports the Ethereum Network for trading Illuvium.
  • There is no indication of when Illuvium: Zero, Illuvitars, and Illuvium: Overworld will be released to the public.

Why You Should Care

Illuvium boasts having one of the largest communities in the crypto gaming space. With Illuvium: Overworld closed-beta user numbers reaching 100,000 players, anticipation for the game release is reaching peak levels.
