- Luxury label and lifestyle brand Playboy will build a MetaMansion game in the Sandbox metaverse.
- A virtual version of the Playboy mansion will feature gaming, social and programmed events alongside NFT releases from the brand.
- Holders of Playboy’s Rabbitars NFT project will soon be able to access exclusive experiences at the virtual mansion in Sandbox.
Arthur Madrid, CEO and co-founder of The Sandbox Game, announced that Playboy Rabbitars NFT holders will get private access to events, PLAY quests, and in-game rewards. The virtual version of the luxury label Playboy has teamed up with the NFT-based metaverse gaming platform to launch “MetaMansion.”
The luxury lifestyle brand Playboy’s Web3 offerings include an NFT collection, and the game will add social and programmed events to holders’ calendars. MetaMansion’s launch in the Sandbox Game is a key move for holders of Rabbitars NFTs.
The Rabbitars NFT project consists of 11,953 tokenized bunnies that averaged $800 for a single digital collectible in October 2021. The launch date is yet to be determined and will be announced soon.
At press time, the floor price of Rabbitar NFTs on the OpenSea marketplace is 0.19 ETH, approximately $206. The floor price has declined nearly 75% since the collection’s launch in October 2021.
Sebastien Borget, COO and co-founder of Sandbox, was quoted as saying:
Playboy is emblematic for its charm, lifestyle, and entertainment content that has transcended generations and that has already stepped into Web3 with early success.
Sandbox announced that plots neighboring the MetaMansion of Playboy will be up for sale by the end of Q3 2022. When Snoop Dogg announced Snoopverse in the Sandbox metaverse, a Web3 enthusiast paid $450,000 to be the legendary rapper’s neighbor. A similar event could repeat once Sandbox announces the sale of plots neighboring the MetaMansion.
Sandbox price is expected to plummet to $1.09 before climbing to the $1.29 level. Sandbox’s June 2021 high was $1.40, and the metaverse token could attempt a run-up to the target once it begins its recovery.
