Wrestling is not just a kind of martial art or combat sport but a huge part of western culture. It combines sport with theatre, which makes it more entertaining to watch. Therefore, thematic games come up regularly, especially ones licensed by World Wrestling Entertainment (NYSE:WWE).
However, wrestling games in the blockchain industry have only just appeared. One such game is Blockchain Brawlers. So far, it looks more like an NFT collection but the developers promised the game will be released in Q1 of 2022.
The characters themselves are stylized to look like colorful toy wrestlers. However, for a fully-fledged gaming experience, you’ll need to purchase a cage, some gears, and other equipment. On the other hand, the developers promised awards in BRWL tokens for winning championships and belts.

- The gameplay is not revealed yet. This means there is a high possibility that we’ll get one more card collectible or virtual pet game. Let’s wait for at least a gameplay trailer in order to make some conclusions.
- The game is not licensed by any wrestling associations yet. Therefore, there are no famous wrestlers to play with/as so far.
