The CoinQuora team had a wonderful time attending the World Blockchain Summit that was held in JW Marriott Marquis Hotel in Dubai. This event enables the team to meet great people in the blockchain space. Dr. Rajpushpa Labh and Ms.Sakshi Kaushik, the co-founder of medGrids discussed with me many interesting insights about their project.
Q. Please introduce yourself and your projects for us
I am Dr. Rajpushpa Labh, and she is Ms.Sakshi Kaushik. We are medical professionals from India. We have co-founded this concept called medGrids. medGrids is basically digital healthcare, data, and delivery ecosystem, with the mission being to create the patient journey from end to end on a digital platform. And not only for patients, we have something for the other healthcare stakeholders also, like insurance companies, the pharmaceutical industry, and all other stakeholders. So we are trying to digitize the whole ecosystem based on blockchain here at medGrids.
Q. How does blockchain integrate or connect to your project?
So basically, to create any digital framework in healthcare, you need to share or store people’s data. And, the data as sensitive as healthcare data needs some excellent consent management, privacy management, and also identity management solutions. So blockchain, with its inherent property of being decentralized, like even medGrids cannot control your data while it is on medGrids, it will be controlled will be completely in the patient’s hands. So decentralization and then also the individual consent management like a peer to peer sharing of data and also by using self-sovereign identity and zero-knowledge proofs we are also doing, enabling you to share a part of your records to a particular company or to particular authority that to in a time stamp manner, and read and write manner. Like somebody can only read your document, somebody like a doctor can also read and write your document that too, for a particular period of time, maybe two minutes, five minutes, yeah, seamlessly.
Q. Being here in the World Blockchain Summit, what are your goals here?
So basically, we came here; we are a project incubated by a premier Institute called the Indian Institute of Technology back there in India. So we came here basically for licensing, and we are obviously on a funding spree right now. So we want to spread our words about our project to the world. Yeah. So there’s like,
definitely. And yeah, and we actually carry a lot of innovations inside medGrids, you can learn more at our all our social media handles are active, anything that you can imagine, we have our website, they are beautifully made, we have a well thought of the white paper. So there are a lot of innovations inside medicals we wanted just to spread the word over here.
Q. How can all the interested investors reach you?
Here at the event, we are located at booth C15, and also otherwise, we have a Dubai registered company in DMCC, a registered company, medGrids DMCC is the name, and we have our office at the crypto center. So there, we can be reached out, and we can be reached out via our website and our email.
Q. Any final thoughts?
So basically, we at medGrids, our plan is to give the control of the health care management of your health into your hands. That is the thought that we have come up with because currently, healthcare is all about healthcare professionals. It is all made for our ease, doctors ease and healthcare workers ease, but there is very little about patients. So here we are. We want the patients to engage in their health and their treatment also. It is a very serious topic. Health is a very serious topic. The people are not talking about health, we want to engage with them.
