  • EOS Network To Enter a New Era Led by ENF and Dan Larimer.
  • This will help redesign and rebuild EOS network after its years of stagnation.
  • Larimer will now work with the ClarionOS team on the Mandel codebase to replace EOS’s old code repository.

EOS, a blockchain-based decentralized platform used to develop, host, and run business applications, and Dapps announces that its community is now dependent on the EOS Network Foundation (ENF). Data gathered by CoinQuora also reveals it is also currently relying on Dan Larimer to rebuild and redesign the EOS network.

Since departing from Block.one, Dan Larimer, who is regarded as the founder of the EOSIO architecture and the EOS network, has been an active independent member of the EOS community. He also holds the same sentiment of abandonment and mismanagement of the EOS network as the community. Yves La Rose, a lead at ENF also sees Dan Larimer’s return as a win for EOS. To that end he states,

Taking over the EOSIO codebase is a top priority for the ENF. Partnering with Dan Larimer, the original architect of the EOS software, was a natural first step in accomplishing that goal. Since resigning from Block. One a year ago, Dan Larimer and his team of engineers at ClarionOS have remained as key active members of the EOS community. With the team and the rest of the EOSIO family, we will put an end to the technical stagnation that EOS has suffered under Block. One’s leadership.

Furthermore, Larimer has just revealed that he will be working with the ClarionOS team on the Mandel codebase, which will replace EOS’s old code repository after the ENF proposal received a strong response from the community and was able to gain the power of guiding EOS’s future.

To maintain flexibility, there will be two significant updates at first: Mandel 2.3, which is the natural successor to EOSIO 2.2, and Mandel 3.0. The introduction of Mandel 3.0, whose candidate will be released on January 31st, will be made possible thanks to a 200,000 EOS fund that Larimer will receive from the ENF, which is yet another powerful statement from the EOS community regarding their ability to control blockchain development. “The Mandel code fork is the shortest path to EOS independence”, added Dan Larimer.

It is the first step on a multi-year plan to revitalize EOS. I’m excited to partner with the ENF and I have never been more optimistic about the future vision for EOS. It is on the path to becoming the DAO of DAOs where new users won’t have to pay for accounts and countless people will be rewarded for contributing and inviting others who do the same!

To sum up, the conflict between ENF and Block. One has come to an end, with the community-based organization ceasing ongoing block reward payment to Block. One on December 8th, the team says. In addition to this, they also recently got $21 million in funding from the EOS community, which was the ultimate statement to underline ENF’s leadership position for EOS.
