La Lightning Network de Bitcoin ha experimentado un crecimiento estimado del 1,212% en dos años, con alrededor de 6,6 millones de transacciones enrutadas en agosto, un aumento significativo en comparación con las 503,000 transacciones de agosto de 2021, según datos del exchange de solo Bitcoin (BTC) River.
En un informe del 10 de octubre, el analista de investigación de River, Sam Wouters, explicó que el aumento en las transacciones enrutadas —que utilizan más de dos nodos para facilitar una transferencia— ocurrió a pesar de una caída del 44% en el precio de Bitcoin y considerablemente menos interés de búsqueda en línea.
“‘Nadie está usando Lightning’ debería ser ahora un meme muerto”, dijo Wouters en un mensaje de seguimiento en Twitter el 10 de octubre, disparando a los críticos de Lightning.
