The Australian Football League (AFL) has signed a 5-year partnership with Crypto.com, serving as the Official Cryptocurrency Exchange and Official Cryptocurrency Trading Platform of the AFL and the women’s AFLW league. The Crypto.com partnership will include both the Toyota AFL Premiership Season and NAB AFLW competitions. It has also secured exclusive naming rights for the entire Toyota AFL Premiership Season and Final Series matches: ‘Crypto.com AFL Score Review.’

AFL Chief Executive Gillon McLachlan considers the partnership an exciting new chapter for Australian Football. The AFL considers cryptocurrency and blockchain technology as dynamic and emerging industries. This partnership is a step towards being at the forefront of these industries’ growth in Australia.

He notes that their consumer research found that 53% of crypto investors in Australia are female. This statistic attracted them towards the country and partnering with the women’s league AFLW.

Meanwhile, Kris Marszalek– Co-Founder and CEO of Crypto.com– remarks how great of an opportunity the partnership was. Adding that the partnership would expand cryptocurrency in an already strong market. They are committed to investing in Australia in order to contribute to their rapid growth of 10 million users globally.
