Floyd Mayweather faces private ICO court action
In a cautionary tale for any celebrities thinking of lending their name to cryptocurrency promotions, famous boxer Floyd “the Money” Mayweather and music producer DJ Khaled - pause and grimace - are now facing lawsuits from disgruntled Centra investors. The stars endorsed the Centra Tech ICO which raised $ 32 million but was later hit by actions from SEC for fraud with four of the main team being arrested.
The token which promised many imaginary partnerships with Mastercard (NYSE:MA) and Visa (NYSE:V) was a $1 token on hitting the market, and after the actions has lost nearly all its value going down to 2 cents. Mayweather may need to take up the challenge from UFC fighter Khabib who after his controversial win over Conor McGregor has thrown down the gauntlet to Mayweather this week to fight him.
