Cryptocurrency mining firm Argo Blockchain has become the first company in the industry to be listed the London Stock Exchange (LSE), raising £25 million ($32 million) through an initial public offering (IPO).
Argo, which is headquartered in London but runs its service from a data-centre in Canada, made its debut on Friday, trading under the ticker ARB. According to an initial admission document from the LSE, Argo placed a total of 156 million ordinary shares, accounting for 53.2% of its issued shared capital. At 16p a share, the crypto miner achieved a total market valuation of £47 million ($61.2 million).
