Bitcoin ATM provider giant CoinFlip has now added Dogecoin (DOGE) services to over 1,800 ATMs in the US. US citizens can now withdraw their DOGE at several ATM stations without hassle.
Previously, Dogecoin was only used as a meme coin with no ATM support over the internet.
According to Conflip CEO Daniel Polotsky, they enabled Dogecoin support to the said number of ATMs due to its recent popular market performance.
Last month, Dogecoin price soared 25%. This is because of consecutive tweets from Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) CEO Elon Musk and other celebrities including Snoop Dogg, Gene Simmons, and Kelvin Jonas.
As per Coinflip, they believe that adding DOGE to their “portfolio of coins” services everywhere will help them meet their consumer needs.Polotsky said,
“CoinFlip’s mission has always been to bank the unbanked and break down the barrier to entry. In doing so we’re on a mission to make cryptocurrencies available to anyone who’s interested in investing, even in the most rural towns of America.”
Furthermore, Coinflip has pledged to offer much more support for DOGE in the coming days. According to CoinGecko, Dogecoin price is $0.050957 with 24-hour trading volume of $1,692 billion at the time of writing.
