Der ehemalige FTX-CEO Sam "SBF" Bankman-Fried sah von der Anklagebank aus zu, wie seine ehemalige Geschäftspartnerin und Freundin Caroline Ellison in seinem Strafprozess aussagte.
Berichten aus dem Gerichtssaal zufolge gab Ellison am 10. Oktober zu, während ihrer Zeit bei Alameda unter Bankman-Frieds Leitung Betrug begangen zu haben. Die frühere Alameda-CEO soll SBF die Schuld für den Missbrauch von FTX-Nutzergeldern gegeben haben. Sie behauptete dabei, er habe "die Systeme eingerichtet", die es Alameda ermöglichten, rund 14 Milliarden US-Dollar von der Börse zu nehmen.
"Alameda hat mehrere Milliarden Dollar von FTX-Kunden genommen und sie für Investitionen verwendet", so Ellison. "Ich habe Bilanzen geschickt, die Alameda weniger riskant aussehen ließen, als es war."
