Interest among college students in cryptocurrencies and blockchain is increasing globally, shows a survey by popular cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase and the Qriously polling company.
The poll included 675 US students, but Coinbase researchers also did a comprehensive review of the courses offered by the top 50 universities in the world and interviewed both students and academics.
The results show that interest in blockchain and cryptocurrencies is definitely on the rise, with 42% of the world’s leading universities offering at least one course on one or both subjects in various departments amid growing interest from students doing a wide range of majors. Interestingly, the courses are not offered only as part of the IT curriculum but across various departments, including anthropology and finance.
