Investing.com - Bitcoin prices continued to trade near their highest levels of the year in Asian trade on Thursday.
Bitcoin was up 3.20% to $8,259 by 10:26 PM ET (02:26 AM GMT), not far from its 2019 high of $8,306.8 set on Wednesday. Bitcoin has doubled in price since the start of the year, from below $4,000 in January to above $8,300 this week.
Ethereum was up 16.54% to $265.02, XRP was up 8.03% to $0.4687, and Litecoin added 13.01% to $105.22.
The total crypto market cap, which stands at about $240 billion and is often use to gauge demand, has more than trebled since its December trough.
