Der Bitcoin-ASIC-Hersteller Bitmain hat die Gehaltszahlungen an seine Mitarbeiter für September und darüber hinaus pausiert.
Nach jüngsten lokalen Berichten hat das Unternehmen mutmaßlich alle "Boni und Anreize" für seine Mitarbeiter gestrichen und die seit letztem Monat fälligen Gehälter noch immer nicht ausgezahlt. Darüber hinaus droht den Mitarbeitern eine Kürzung ihres Grundgehalts um 50 Prozent. Bitmain soll dazu kommentiert haben:
"Für den Monat September hat das Unternehmen noch keinen positiven Netto-Cashflow erzielt, insbesondere bei den Bestellungen von [neuen] ASICs. Das Executive Management Team hat daher beschlossen, dass die Gehälter für den Monat September pausiert werden, um sie nach dem 7. Oktober nach dem Feiertag zu überprüfen."Das 2013 in China gegründete Unternehmen Bitmain ist einer der weltweit größten Hersteller von Bitcoin (BTC) Mining-ASICs mit einem geschätzten Marktanteil von bis zu 70 Prozent. Die Antminer-Serie des Unternehmens ist derzeit branchenweit führend beim Bitcoin-Mining.
