Binance, one of the leading virtual asset trading venues, has received an investment from Vertex Ventures, the venture capital subsidiary of Singapore state investment fund Temasek. Vertex Ventures will also help Binance in setting up a crypto exchange in the city-state, according to a press release on Tuesday.
Neither Binance nor Vertex Ventures specified the amount invested.
“More important than how much you raise is who you raise it from. Finding a strategic investor who genuinely wants to help you is key,” Binance founder and CEO Changpeng Zhao tweeted on Tuesday.
