Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Mining, Banking & Financials and Non-Metal Minerals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 0.99%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Sider (LM:SID), which rose 7.62% or 0.016 points to trade at 0.226 at the close. Meanwhile, Minera Irl (LM:IRL) unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to end at 0.09 and Casa Grande (LM:CSG) was up 3.45% or 0.200 points to 6.000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which fell 3.26% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.890 at the close. Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) declined 2.53% or 0.130 points to end at 5.000 and Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO) was down 2.35% or 0.200 points to 8.300.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 22 to 11 and 3 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 2.91% or 1.72 to $60.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 2.30% or 1.50 to hit $66.53 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.26% or 3.10 to trade at $1205.60 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.68% to 3.1300, while EUR/PEN rose 0.54% to 3.5188.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.19% at 95.47.
