  • Dogecoin and Shibu Inu are two meme coins ready to be used for any kind of transaction on the AMC website.

AMC, the largest movie theatre company in the world, is ready to receive meme cryptocurrencies, Dogecoin (DOGE) and Shiba Inu (SHIB) very soon. Adam Aron, CEO of AMC Theatres has revealed this statement and framed an update on his company’s decision in accepting these meme coins.

To add, AMC Theatres, aka AMC Entertainment (NYSE:AMC) Holdings, is pinned as the largest movie exhibition company in the U.S, Europe, and across the world. The company owns approximately 950 theatres and 10,500 screens in the world.

Moreover, Aron tweeted on Thursday that he had been repeatedly getting questions on accepting Dogecoin and Shiba Inu for any kinds of payments done via the AMC website and mobile app. He confirmed that AMC is still “well on track” for Q1 implementation most likely in March.

Last year, in November, the AMC executive announced that the company will accept DOGE and SHIB using Bitpay. But, at that time Bitpay was not in support of Shiba Inu. Aron claimed that only after his request did the crypto payment processing company start supporting the meme coin.

In addition to this, Aron said that AMC will start accepting Shiba Inu in Q1 this year. Bitpay, which already supported DOGE, started holding up SHIB in early December.
