5 Days To Go! COTI Mainnet 2.0 Launch Commences on November 2

  • COTI announces that its Mainnet 2.0 launch is only 5 days away.
  • On November 2 at 2 PM (UTC), the public will finally get a hold of COTI’s Mainnet 2.0.
  • The Mainnet 2.0 will feature new scalability, speed capabilities, and many others.

With only 5 days away from its Mainnet 2.0 launch, COTI CEO shared the top things that COTI is working on right now. On November 2 at 2 PM (UTC), the public will finally get a hold of COTI’s Mainnet 2.0.

In the announcement, COTI continues to say that the base infrastructure for its systems and products is COTI’s Trustchain. The Trustchain lies on a multi-DAG (directed acyclic graph) data structure. Together, the two power COTI’s scalability and processing of over 100,000 TPS (transactions per second).

To add on, Mainnet 2.0 is reportedly taking the next step in performance. It will start with the basics and work its way up to database performance enhancements that will bring faster transaction confirmations.

The team added,

We have been working on COTI’s Mainnet 2.0 for over a year, investing thousands of man-hours to allow new scalability and speed capabilities as well as to optimize COTI’s platforms to support its massive growth.

To clarify, here is what the Mainnet 2.0 Launch will bring:

The first is RocksDB. It is the storage engine for the COTI-node. In the latest release, it is integrated with the latest enhancements and features like fast loading time and better backup capabilities such as On-Demand backup.

The second is the Queues. This is the COTI-node queue management for the entire software and it is improved with better locks and takes. This makes the events flow seamlessly — enabling faster transactions without having to drop any of them.

Going deeper, the team mentioned they have also enhanced the outside communications which are being used by Zero-MQ and STOMP. More so, this allows a constant sending rate of messages, which will help the COTI network retain stable communication between wallets and bridges.
