Investing.com -- U.S. oil stockpiles rose more than expected in the latest week, the Energy Information Administration said on Thursday.
Crude inventories jumped 4.515 million barrels last week, compared with analysts' expectations for a build of 0.442 million barrels. The data were released a day later than usual because of a U.S. market holiday.
Distillate stockpiles, which include diesel and heating oil, fell 0.585m barrels in the week against expectations for a draw of 1.763 million barrels, the EIA data showed.
Gasoline inventories dropped 0.582m barrels last week, the EIA said, compared with expectations for a draw of 1.450 million barrels.
