Investing.com -- U.S. oil stockpiles fell by more than expected in the latest week, the Energy Information Administration said on Wednesday.
Crude inventories dropped by 1.863m barrels last week, compared with analysts' expectations for a draw of 0.657 million barrels.
Distillate stockpiles, which include diesel and heating oil, fell by 5.231 million barrels in the week against expectations for a draw of 1.914 million barrels, the EIA data showed.
Gasoline inventories declined 1.405 million barrels last week, the EIA said, compared with expectations for a draw of 2.105 million barrels.
