BONN, Germany, March 12 (Reuters) - New European Union rules to regulate hedge funds should include Britain, the head of the Eurogroup of euro zone finance ministers said on Friday. "We need in Europe a self-contained, regulated space for hedge funds, preferably including Britain," Jean-Claude Juncker told journalists.
EU states have so far failed to agree on new hedge fund rules, with the UK seeking concessions amid fears the rules will make it harder to offer non-EU funds to European investors.
"Investors want security. Particularly the ones who have a lot of money want a secure location and clear rules for their business," Juncker said.

Pressure is mounting to reach a deal after talks between EU ambassadors ended in stalemate over how to regulate foreign hedge funds, diplomatic sources said.
