Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 1.02% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V), which rose 5.04% or 1.23 points to trade at 25.62 at the close. Meanwhile, Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) added 3.09% or 0.72 points to end at 24.05 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was up 2.93% or 0.95 points to 33.37 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which fell 1.54% or 0.53 points to trade at 33.80 at the close. Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) declined 0.59% or 0.15 points to end at 25.37 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was down 0.30% or 0.020 points to 6.770.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 124 to 57 and 3 ended unchanged.
Shares in Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 3.09% or 0.72 to 24.05.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 1.18% or 0.58 to $48.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.77% or 0.36 to hit $46.23 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.57% or 6.50 to trade at $1134.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.16% to 1.1022, while EUR/GBP rose 0.15% to 0.7146.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.06% at 96.93.
