Investing.com – Philippines stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Mining & Oil, Industrials and Property sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite fell 0.90%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Jollibee Foods Corp (PS:JFC), which rose 1.96% or 4.80 points to trade at 249.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC) added 1.92% or 0.500 points to end at 26.500 and International Container Terminal Services Inc (PS:ICT) was up 0.97% or 1.000 points to 104.000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Energy Development Corp (PS:EDC), which fell 20.00% or 1.200 points to trade at 4.800 at the close. Megaworld Corp (PS:MEG) declined 3.04% or 0.160 points to end at 5.100 and Ayala Land Inc (PS:ALI) was down 2.36% or 1.050 points to 43.450.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 137 to 63 and 54 ended unchanged.
Shares in Energy Development Corp (PS:EDC) fell to 3-years lows; losing 20.00% or 1.200 to 4.800.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.15% or 1.93 to $1309.57 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.46% or 0.24 to hit $51.98 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.68% or 0.40 to trade at $58.03 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.26% to 7.6788, while USD/PHP rose 0.40% to 50.915.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 92.66.
