Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Non-Metal Minerals, Industrials and Banking & Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.55%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Relapasa (LM:REL), which rose 5.34% or 0.007 points to trade at 0.138 at the close. Meanwhile, Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) added 1.08% or 0.004 points to end at 0.374 and Bco Continenta (LM:CON) was up 0.65% or 0.020 points to 3.080 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO), which fell 14.38% or 0.690 points to trade at 4.110 at the close. Trevali Mining (LM:TV) declined 12.50% or 0.050 points to end at 0.350 and Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA) was down 2.71% or 0.110 points to 3.950.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 12 to 6 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO) fell to all time lows; falling 14.38% or 0.690 to 4.110.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 3.56% or 1.65 to $44.71 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 2.55% or 1.25 to hit $47.83 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.44% or 4.90 to trade at $1129.70 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.08% to 3.2180, while EUR/PEN rose 0.49% to 3.5890.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.10% at 96.40.
