Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Energy & Utilities, Telecoms & IT and Retail sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share gained 0.56%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Saudi Electricity Company (SE:5110), which rose 9.86% or 1.80 points to trade at 20.05 at the close. Meanwhile, Al-Rajhi Cooperative Insurance (SE:8230) added 7.96% or 1.80 points to end at 24.40 and Saudi Steel Pipe Company (SE:1320) was up 6.48% or 1.15 points to 18.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Dar Alarkan Real Estate Development (SE:4300), which fell 3.15% or 0.20 points to trade at 6.15 at the close. Al Hassan Ghazi Ibrahim Shaker (SE:1214) declined 2.26% or 0.60 points to end at 25.90 and Emaar The Economic City (SE:4220) was down 1.99% or 0.30 points to 14.80.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 94 to 43 and 32 ended unchanged.
Shares in Saudi Electricity Company (SE:5110) rose to 52-week highs; up 9.86% or 1.80 to 20.05.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.13% or 0.55 to $48.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.23% or 0.62 to hit $49.73 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.41% or 5.25 to trade at $1292.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.49% to 4.2143, while USD/SAR rose 0.02% to 3.7506.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.37% at 94.77.
