On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Crude oil futures for June delivery traded at USD96.00 a barrel at time of writing falling 1.11%.
It earlier traded at a session low USD95.83 a barrel. Crude oil was likely to find support at USD95.22 and resistance at USD98.17.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.13% to trade at USD80.38.
Elsewhere on the ICE, Brent oil for June delivery fell 0.49% to trade at USD112.03 a barrel, with the spread between the Brent oil and Crude oil contracts standing at USD16.03 a barrel.
