OTTAWA (Reuters) - China will resume imports of Canadian beef and pork products, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said on Tuesday, some four months after Beijing, citing falsified paperwork, blocked shipments.
"Good news for Canadian farmers today: Canadian pork and beef exports to China will resume," Trudeau tweeted.
Trudeau confirmed a Canadian Pork Council statement that rumours China had reopened them market had "some validity."
