Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials, Oil & Gas and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.87%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 3.83% or 0.146 points to trade at 3.962 at the close. Meanwhile, YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) added 0.22% or 0.01 points to end at 6.73 and Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) was up 0.11% or 0.04 points to 37.95 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V), which fell 2.08% or 0.180 points to trade at 8.480 at the close. Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) declined 2.08% or 0.52 points to end at 24.43 and Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMAS) was down 1.96% or 0.78 points to 39.11.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 112 to 62 and 20 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for August delivery was down 1.09% or 0.57 to $51.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.31% or 0.67 to hit $50.56 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.88% or 11.15 to trade at $1273.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.68% to 1.1317, while EUR/GBP fell 0.31% to 0.7830.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.48% at 94.04.
