Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Utilities, Basic Materials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 1.02%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HEL:NESTE), which rose 1.31% or 0.31 points to trade at 23.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Kemira Oyj (HEL:KRA1V) added 0.72% or 0.08 points to end at 11.17 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HEL:WRT1V) was up 0.41% or 0.15 points to 36.91 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were YIT Oyj (HEL:YTY1V), which fell 3.13% or 0.17 points to trade at 5.25 at the close. Konecranes Oyj (HEL:KCR1V) declined 2.93% or 0.81 points to end at 26.83 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HEL:NRE1V) was down 2.66% or 0.71 points to 25.98.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 118 to 46 and 4 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was up 1.61% or 0.77 to $48.34 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 2.49% or 1.10 to hit $45.25 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.79% or 8.70 to trade at $1110.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.51% to 1.1264, while EUR/GBP rose 0.01% to 0.7295.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.39% at 95.58.
