At the close of U.S. trade, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.01%, the S&P 500 index gained 0.05%, while the Nasdaq 100 index declined 0.24%.
Meanwhile, across the Atlantic, European stock markets closed higher. France’s CAC 40 was up 1.88%; Germany’s DAX gained 1.65%; Britain’s FTSE 100 climbed 1.86%; and the EURO STOXX 50 rose 2.13%.
