HONG KONG, Nov 2 (Reuters) - Hong Kong stocks rose on Tuesday, with banking shares helping the benchmark close higher, although light turnover suggested investors prefered to stay on remain on the sidelines ahead of a Federal Reserve meeting.
The Hang Seng Index <.HSI> edged up 0.08 percent to 23,671.42. The index faces important resistance at around 23,800, which it failed to breach several times in the second half of October.
